The place was pretty clean and the staff was super friendly, even though the receptionist had some trouble fixing things. 😊

Brilliant and exceptional location, very close to restaurants and the water's edge. Beautiful area, in a sheltered corner of the waterway.- Impeccably clean hotel units with wi-fi, a partially obstructed view, and a patio.- Great design.

The restaurant was gorgeous, and the buffet breakfast was top-notch. We both tried some delicious dishes. The room had a cozy fireplace and an air conditioner to keep us comfortable. There was also a safe for securing our valuables. And don't get me started on the bed - it was just perfect! 😊

The Sands Hotel Hokianga in Omapere has extremely friendly staff. They offer outstanding food and complimentary drinks.- The hotel is in an amazing location near the harbour and the ancient Kauri forests.

The dinner at the restaurant was fantastic with a great selection of dishes, and the beach view from our room was beautiful, plus the bed was very comfortable, all while being conveniently close to the beach.

Spacious villa with comfy patio and hot tub. Awesome bay views, nice walking options, close to Kauri forest. Great price on Sunday evening. Beautiful garden setting. Modern villa with private outdoor area and friendly staff.

The food was great, we enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast at a nice restaurant, and the location was amazing, only a short walk away from Footprints Waipoua.

Pretty standard and perfect place, SUPERFRIENDLY staff despite best efforts of receptionist to fix. Location: magnificent, not far from Waipua forest, Hokianga Harbour and the beach. Also, free in main areas.

The stunning location of this hotel, nestled among a beautiful forest, provided a serene and picturesque setting for our stay. We were captivated by the scenic drive leading to the property.

While the rooms may have shown signs of wear and tear, they were still acceptable for our needs. However, the true highlight of our stay was the restaurant.

I liked the friendly and efficiency of the staff. The reastaurant was outstanding.

The room was vey unclean, there was old food in the dishes. The bathroom flooded everytime you had a shower due to a poorly designed shower curtain.

What a great place to enjoy a much needed weekend away from the hustle & bustle of city life. From Hokianga we visited some of the countries most beautiful scenery. The Kauri Gum Forests, the Ferry crossing at Rawene, the township itself is worth a look, the stunning country side on the drive north through the forest and out to Ninety Mile Beach - world class views. The food in the restaurant was excellent, the waiting staff very refreshing. The wine list included nz wines from both the north and south. We thoroughly recomend the Schooner Cafe just up the road for a good coffee and fantastic views. Don't miss a visit to the Kauri museum at Matakohe as you drive north from Auckland. All in all a great place to stay. Will hopefully return in the summer when we could enjoy the great outdoor areas, and look forward to seeing the sun setting over the harbour entrance. A very special place in the world!

There was nothing really to not enjoy, just a simple thing while we are trying to save our precious earth, and we are given a sign "Green - don't change the towels" we hung this out and still the towels were changed after just one night. Something simple too the lighting isn't all that good to read by at night. Nothing major though.

Its location was awesome, just 5 minutes walk from Omapere Beach. Furthermore, the area was beautiful. I ate at a great restaurant for dinner. It had perfect views of the sea and a great decor.
